Privacy Policy
Artifact is a free tool in testing. There are no accounts, and we collect as little as we can.
Your notes and drafts
They stay in your browser — we don't store them. When you generate a draft, your notes and any images are sent to Google's Gemini AI (or Groq, as a backup) to write it. Share links contain the whole draft, so anyone with the link can read it.
Don't paste anything confidential, like client work or anything under NDA. Artifact uses Google's AI, and Google may use what you send to improve its products, which can include people reviewing it.
What we keep
- Usage counts. To set fair limits and count visitors, we use a scrambled version of your IP address — never the address itself. These counts are deleted within about four months.
- Feedback you send, and your email only if you choose to add it.
- Error reports and page views, so we can fix bugs and see what's used. Error reports can include your IP address.
We don't use cookies, show ads, or sell your information.
Services we use
Vercel (hosting and analytics), Google and Groq (AI), Upstash (database), and Sentry (error reports).
Questions or requests
Email us with any questions, or to have your feedback deleted. Artifact isn't for anyone under 16. If this policy changes, we'll update this page.
